Automotive Education Division which is the sub division in Mechanical Education department is a four-year undergraduate degree program. Education is both theoretical and practical. The main purpose of automotive education educates the students about internal combustion engines, engine and vehicle systems, and operation principles both theoretical and practical. In addition Master of Science is possible.
In graduate study, some research areas of automotive education are alternative fuels, emission control, heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, vehicle aerodynamics, engine and vehicle systems, alternative energy sources, engine and vehicle mechanics, engine and vehicle performance and control systems.
This program is designed to mainly meet the teacher and manager requirements of vocational high schools and it used to be the major provider in the country. In addition to these, the graduates can work automotive company as a technical staff.
